Welcome to the realm of the PSYCHO SURGEONS. For the uninitiated, the Psycho Surgeons were a band with a twist; namely Wild Willi Beckett, a showman of rare ability, as the terrifying, axe-wielding Doctor. In various incarnations, they rampaged across the UK and Europe throughout the 80s and 90s, delighting fans and upsetting venues’ neighbours. Many a review mentioned a ‘total assault on the senses’ (or words to that effect). Mission accomplished.
Check out the 100s of Psycho Surgeons related photos and other gubbins plus a choice selection of bootleg
videos. Got more incriminating evidence against us? Please send it in.

One Last One: a film by Greg Brauns
Below is the superb short film about Wild Willi Beckett's last show with the Psycho Surgeons. To get the most out of this, you will want to turn off that bloody racket that the band is making via the music player above. Switch off mobile phones and thank you for not smoking during this performance. Unless you've just been set on fire by Dave Savage*, which is an acceptable excuse. Or if you want a cig, which is also acceptable. See you didn't get that sort of flexibility at the Odeon. This is probably why they're knocking it down :-)
More about the Psycho Surgeons' "One Last One" concert, 26 October 2006, can be found here.
* and the follow-up 2007 PSYCHO SURGEONS BECKETT TRIBUTE, with fire damage, is reviewed here.
...and, while we're at it, here's some rehersal footage from One Last One (to prove that rehersals happened at least every 9 years). "Once through lads, and jobs a good 'n."

By the way, this is the official band site which is run by ourselves who we have officiously appointed as official website officials. That's how official it is. Everything we could find that is Surgeons-related has been posted here for the sake of keeping it all in one place. The main exception is WW's shoe collection which he bequeathed to Jont (probably to get him back for something or other) and would prove difficult to digitise anyway. But everything else is here. Contributions to this site - other than shoes - are very welcome.
We also recommend the fans’ site where you can meet better looking people and generally have more fun . But while you’re here, laugh at the pictures, enjoy the songs. Oh, and stay in touch!
Autumn is upon us and I took the opportunity to capture the forrest with all of its changing colours on film. Come on over to mine for a virtual tour of Epping Forrest, England.
My brother Tom Wood fire juggled on one of your tours, he recently sent me a link to Willi's farewell gig flier which led me to google you and watch the movie on myspace, i was so touched by it, what a courageous, amazing man, so dignified, i was in tears by the end of it, you are all blessed to have spent so much time with him, but you know that, anyway, truly special, thanks for accepting my request much love, Katherine xxx
Does anybody have any photos from that 'On the Lake' Doo in Lister park?? wasn't there some in an exibition someplace?
Another thing - How about reprinting some old school Surgeons t shirts, y'know, the white ones with the original logo? I wore mine for years and it just dissolved...
I love you guys so much... and I miss Willi! I just wanted you to know that you are the Featured Artist Of The Week this week from May 31st to June 6th on The Duchess MySpace. If you want to tell your fans and friends...
Hello, just spreading the word about the next BD1 LiVE gig: Young Knives on Fri 29th Feb at St George's Hall, Bradford £10/£12 www. seetickets. com hope you there... TA!
saw you guys live a couple of times back in the early 90s - wicked. what could beat 'The Doctor' rampaging round Hull Adelphi swinging a huge sword around his head. Wild Willi Beckett was the man R.I.P.
Thanks you very much for the pics! I was gutted cos both our vid camera and our digi camera both buggered up on the night so I am glad of these pics. If you ever need any help with any new projects or anything at all then please let me know and I will always be there to help. Cheers, Seb.
Still haven't seen the film..... the imp in the back of my computer can't wind the cogs as fast as He used to....
Hopefully next year my husband will have insurance and we will get ALL the way home without the police stopping us & impounding MY car at 4 in the morning (talk about exciting times)!!!!!
